Australia is a country full of wonders which is in the southern hemisphere. It consists of cities, islands, and natural parks full of beauty. Australia has Aboriginal heritage but after World War II, Europeans migrated to Australia. With the effect of this much of the culture in Australia derived from European roots after World War II. Australia also consists of many world-famous unique animals. Kangaroos, Koalas, Wombats, and Tasmanian wolves are some of them.  I’m sure you want to visit this wonderful country at least once in your lifetime. So here’s a list of the most beautiful places to visit in Australia when you travel there!

#1 Fraser Island

Fraser Island is listed as a World Heritage because of its uncommon nature. It is the only place in the world you can see rainforest growing on the sand! Can you believe it? It’s true. This is the biggest sand island in the world which long over 120 km and across over 30 km. this island also consists of more than 100 freshwater lakes including the world-famous McKenzie Lake. Not only that the east coast of this island is known as a breeding area of Tiger Sharks which are very aggressive!

#2 Daintree Rain Forest

Would you like to see one of the oldest rainforests in the world? Daintree rain forest is older than over one hundred and thirty-five million years. It is also included in the World Heritage list and is located in the north of Queensland. It consists of millions of rare animals and plants. If you wish to visit this rainforest, you have to cross the Daintree River which is inhabited by crocodiles!

#3 Uluru 

Uluru is one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. It is also connected with the ancient aboriginal culture in Australia. Uluru is a rock located in the area which is home to aboriginal Anangu people. The importance of this rock is it changes the color of its surface at different times of the day with the change of sunbeams. To see the most extraordinary color of it, you should visit it during the sunset and you’ll see Uluru is glowing in red!

#4 Great Barrier Reef

This is known as the biggest living structure in the world.  This is located on the off coast of Queensland. Great Barrier Reef provide habitats for more than 400 coral types, more than 1500 types of fish, and over 4000 types of mollusks. If you wish to explore this reef, you can take a glass-bottom boat from Port Douglas or Cairns.

#5 The Great Ocean Road

Un-doubtfully this is one of the most scenic drives in the world. This is a drive along 273 km coastline called ‘The Great Ocean Road’.  During this trip, you’ll see the famous Twelve Apostles the gathering of limestone rocks, the Bells Beach which is very famous among surfers, and famous coastal cities like Lorne, Apollo Bay, and Geelong. During this trip, you can enjoy the amazing scenery as well as many water-based activities!
