The International Association of Professional Birth Photographers (IAPBP) has announced the 2022 Birth Photography Image Competition winners. There have been hundreds of contributions from photographers all across the world. These are really raw and personal images of delivery.
The International Association of Professional Birth Photographers (IAPBP) was founded to provide pregnant parents with an online database of professional birth photographers and videographers in their region.
“We are immensely pleased with the entries of this year’s competition because, despite all we have faced in our community in recent years, this event demonstrates the resilience birth photographers have to overcome unanticipated circumstances,” they said in a news statement. We are also excited to add Hardship & Loss, a new, profound, and powerful subcategory. We want to celebrate the 1 in 4 birthing people who endure miscarriage and/or loss, and including photographs of these experiences in our birth photography celebration is one way we may do so. We are honored to offer you a magnificent collection of work from 2021 that conveys life’s most meaningful moments.”
