It’s difficult to distinguish between fake and real these days. The majority of the photos we see in magazines and on social media have been somewhat edited with photo editing software, which has been subtly warping our perception of reality and instilling in us unattainable beauty standards. However, some people are unwilling to accept this and are working to make people aware of the reality.

Together with expert photographer Karizza, two stunning plus-size models, Diana Sirokai and Callie Thorpe, demonstrated how the media goes beyond simple photo editing. After Karizza took a picture of Diana and Callie, she edited her body image severely in Photoshop.

Diana commented on her Instagram photo, saying, “I have to say we look amazing both ways.” This was done to demonstrate to you all how editing is done on a different level in publications and the media. Even the celebs and models in those edited pictures don’t look like them. It’s time to bring back the real; our world is becoming so manufactured. “Slay and own who you are!”
