Meet Bali Pip, a joyful puppy rescued from the mange-ridden streets of Bali; the blind but devoted Shazza; Raul, who accepts his partial paralysis; and many more gorgeous canines in the latest book by award-winning animal photographer Alex Cearns. Based on an original picture series that was published on Bored Panda, these lovely images of flawlessly imperfect dogs will cheer you up and inspire you. Their capacity to withstand physical hardship will make them hold a particular place in your heart. Their innate beauty and spirit, as well as their kindness, tenacity, and grit, are all captured in Cearns’ pet pictures.

One of my most ardent objectives as an animal photographer is to record the endearing details that give each species a special and priceless quality. Every cute animal I’ve had the privilege of photographing is something I cherish, but I have a particular place in my heart for those that are thought to be strange. These cute canines are the ones who were abused in the past, lost a leg, or are blind from birth. According to Cearns, most animals with “afflictions” don’t stay on them. They endure and adjust to their bodies without complaining. As long as an able-bodied pet can, they never stop and never stop wanting to be a part of everything.

“Animals’ ability to bounce back from hardship never gets old to me.” They make the most of life, and I’ve gained a lot of insight from them about never giving up and always finding the good in any circumstance.

A dog photography book called “Perfect Imperfection – Dog Portraits of Resilience and Love” is great for dog lovers, admirers of the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi, or finding beauty in imperfection, and anybody who needs a little motivation. To help in the hunt for a canine cancer cure, a percentage of each sale’s revenues will be donated to the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation.
