Some folks don’t seem to get any breaks in life. They are dealt a feeble hand by life, and as a result, they come out on the bottom. He has to leave their family and home. They were forced to wander the streets searching for food and supplies, such as cans and other commodities, to stay alive and eat. This is precisely what took place with Joao Coelho Guimares. He is 45 years old, and for the past three years of his life, he has been homeless, without a place to lay his head down at night.

night.
But when the barbershop employees volunteered to trim his hair, things started to get better for him: “He came and we asked him if he was hungry and if he wanted something to eat. He offered, but rejected, and then asked if we had a razor so he could trim his beard. In an interview with the online publication UOL, Alessandro described the occasion and said, “That’s when we had the idea, and everyone at the firm decided to help him in a different way, providing him with a day of beauty.”
The barbershop gave him a new haircut, trimmed his beard, washed him off, and gave him new clothes, including three shirts, a pair of pants, a jacket, and shoes. They had no idea that after posting pictures of Joo’s transformation, his family would see the images and ultimately find Joo after thinking he had been gone for ten years.

Joao Coelho Guimares visited the barbershop and inquired about getting his beard trimmed while there.

When we questioned Alessandro, the proprietor of the barbershop, some questions regarding the occurrence, he provided the following response when we inquired as to the reason why they chose to assist Joo: “Because we could see how desperately he required assistance, we decided to provide it for him. Over the past two months, we could develop a friendship with him. In addition, when he inquired about purchasing a razor from us, we greeted him with open arms. We provided him with the total experience.”
The employees welcomed him with open arms and made him an offer that was significantly more appealing than that.

“It is pretty satisfying for us to be able to assist people in need, regardless of their background or circumstances, through the various social aid projects we do. Many people had to say goodbye to loved ones during the pandemic, and others were forced to deal with challenging financial situations. In a moment as trying as this, even a tiny bit of assistance is always appreciated. “When asked if they assist homeless persons regularly, Alessandro informed us the following.
They assured Joo that they would give him an entirely new appearance.

After washing him up, they shaved and cropped Joo’s hair, clipped his beard, and trimmed his sideburns.

“The metamorphosis was finished after two hours. The group volunteered their time, and although each member contributed little, the cumulative effort produced a surprise outcome.” Alessandro reported that Joo had the kindest reaction when they had finished giving him the makeover. He was taken aback and highly appreciative at the same time. He didn’t say much, but the tears said everything that needed to be said. We were taken aback when we discovered that he was not only lovely on the inside but also on the outside.
Joo had an entirely new appearance by the time the barbers were finished with him.

When we asked Alessandro whether he knew why Joo had left his house, he responded that he didn’t want to pursue the question: “I didn’t want to go into the discussion about why he moved away from his family. He may have his reasons, but all we wanted to do was restore some dignity to him at that very moment.”
Soon after the before and after images of the makeover were made public, Joo was in for an even greater shock.

Because his images became so popular, his family could locate him, and the barbershop set up a meeting for them.

It was his sister who was the one who noticed him and came to find him: “As soon as his sister Maria Coelho saw the images, she made a beeline for the house. She has been waiting in Brasilia, the Federal District of Brazil, for the past ten years to hear some news concerning him. Even at that point, she still believed he was alive.”
Joo was thrilled to be back with his family and embarking on a new chapter in his life.

His relatives showed him some pictures of themselves when Joo was a child.

When we asked Alessandro about Joo’s current activities, he told us: “Joao is still living on the streets at this time. His sister was eager to see him and take him home, but he had no interest in doing any of those things. He claimed that he could be himself when walking around the city streets. Because of this, he had no desire to go back home.”
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this change will signal the beginning of a more favorable era for Joo.
