Barbara Peacock is a successful American commercial photographer with the base of her operations in Portland, Oregon. She has only recently started a new project in which she intends to convey the hidden and apparent complexity of who Americans are, both as individuals and as a nation, by using private and intimate photographs taken in bedrooms all around the United States.
The people in her photographs come from various walks of life; some are the author’s closest friends, while others are strangers. She makes her request for their participation in the initiative known to them through various channels, including social media and placing a note containing the project’s particulars at local establishments. Just scroll down to see how unique and effective this tactic is.
